JOE PASKO, LCSW
Joe Pasko is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adolescents and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and OCD.
Mr. Pasko graduated with a B.A. in History from the College of the Holy Cross. He received his MSW in clinical social work from Boston College with a concentration in health and mental health and a certification in trauma theory and treatment. Mr. Pasko completed his first clinical practicum at Wilmington Police Department, completing co-response with police and providing crisis intervention services to Wilmington residents struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues. He completed his advanced clinical practicum as an outpatient therapist at Riverside Community Care. At Riverside, Mr. Pasko provided individual psychotherapy to both adults and adolescents. He worked with adolescents within the Newton Public School system to provide interventions for those struggling with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and trauma. At Riverside, Mr. Pasko also led a Hoarding group to provide psychoeducation around Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and its use for reducing symptoms related to Hoarding Disorder.
Prior to completing his MSW, Mr. Pasko worked at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital. Here he received training in evidence-based practices for anxiety and OCD spectrum disorders including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Mr. Pasko completed 1:1 exposure sessions with clients and led groups focusing on specific OCD presentations.
